In the world of sneakers, 43 years is an eternity. Consider all of the social upheavals and technological shifts that have transpired since 1978. The mind simply boggles. Every now and then, a company creates a design that is so long-lasting that it still works after four decades. That is the case with Nike's Air Tailwind 79, which had its debut at the Honolulu Marathon in 1978, a fact that has me scratching my head for plausible explanations for the disparity between the nomenclature and the year the sneaker first appeared.

Aside from the cognitive dissonance, the Tailwind 79 is one of those sneakers that is clearly of its day but still looks great in 2021. When you consider that Nike was using an Air Unit for cushioning even back in 1978—and this reissue, of course, uses it as well—you have a vintage runner that not only looks good but also feels good.

So, what should you do as an educated sneaker enthusiast and even more astute consumer? Purchase the footwear. They go with everything, from nylon shorts and boxy tees to slim chinos and camp shirts. It Doesn't Get Any Sweeter Than This For The Nike Dunk High "Chocolate"

Since its comeback in the shoe business, the Nike Dunk has had a plethora of colorways. Sneakerheads all over the world have enjoyed a variety of colorways with themed features over the last two years, some in commemorative designs and others that are just plain simple and lovely. And while we're on the subject of sweets, the Nike Dunk High "Chocolate" just dropped, and a closer look at the shoe reveals that it can't be any sweeter than it already is! The iteration has a high-top profile, which gives the heels and ankles more support. Unlike its "Light Chocolate Sail" counterpart from last year, which had milky hues, this premium leather rendition has darker brown tones.
