Nike's Gundam Sneakers Have A Badass Look

Nike has officially confirmed what sneakerheads have been speculating about for months: not one, but two pairs of Dunk Highs honoring Gundam will be released in the coming weeks.

These Dunks will be available in two pairs, one based on the RX-0 Unicorn and the other on the RX-0 Unicorn. At the base, there's a Unicorn logo, mech-style design across the toebox, and a big swoosh with the same details as the Unicorn's "fins." Those swoosh markings are also velcro-attached, so they can be taken off and adjusted as needed.

The “Gundam” SB Dunk High is a testament to imagination and work ethic, and brings DIY inspiration and science-fiction fashion to an iconic line of eccentric SB Dunks. With a removable Swoosh—each stylised to dramatically alter the silhouette, depending on if you want to go bright or tactically clean—this sneaker is ready to suit up and go mobile. The “Gundam” Dunk honours tradition and the synergy between Nike SB and Gundam collector culture—from the toe box detailing, flashes of colour and the accompanying decal sheet that’s recognisably real robotic.

The white pair is simply known as "Gundam," whereas the darker pair is known as "Banshee." Both of these books will be released later this month. Some official Nike pictures can be seen below, which will give you a closer look at some of the details.

Notre has risen to popularity in the boutique retailing industry in recent years for its superb product curation, but their identity is rooted in community. Their previous partnerships have demonstrated the concept of teamwork, and their current mission is driven by the tagline "There are many ways to do things besides your own." For their next footwear collaboration, they've linked up with Vans for a third time, this time focusing on popular cafe beverages that we normally consume while socializing. The famous side-stripe on the OG Style 36 LX is transformed by Notre, who embroiders their handshake logo into the embroidered stripe (as seen on their OG Old Skool LX and Notre Dunks). This logo is placed on top of three different suede builds: matcha green, espresso brown, and a light grey teal (with navy hits). It Doesn't Get Any Sweeter Than This For The Nike Dunk High "Chocolate"

Since its comeback in the shoe business, the Nike Dunk has had a plethora of colorways. Sneakerheads all over the world have enjoyed a variety of colorways with themed features over the last two years, some in commemorative designs and others that are just plain simple and lovely. And while we're on the subject of sweets, the Nike Dunk High "Chocolate" just dropped, and a closer look at the shoe reveals that it can't be any sweeter than it already is! The iteration has a high-top profile, which gives the heels and ankles more support. Unlike its "Light Chocolate Sail" counterpart from last year, which had milky hues, this premium leather rendition has darker brown tones. The shoelaces, Nike Swoosh emblems on the lateral and medial sides, and the full-length midsole underfoot, all of which are in a pure white gradient, are the only pieces that add a flash of contrast to this delicious configuration.
