Give Your Bonjour To The Bape x ASICS GEL-1090 "France Camo"
A Bathing Ape and ASICS have teamed up again, this time to release a brand-new colorway of the GEL-1090, after their initial collaboration earlier this year. The pair is dubbed "France Camo" and has a unique tri-color design that, when coupled with BAPE's characteristic camouflage patterns, creates an eye-catching style that will no doubt appeal to sneakerheads all around the world.
The GEL-1090 is a flexible vintage runner made of diverse fabrics such as suede and sturdy canvas that has crossed into lifestyle land, with BAPE pimping the silhouette to appeal to streetwear fans.
The traditional camouflage patterns reflect the renowned Ape Head emblem for a maximalist take on branding, while the ASICS characteristic arrows logo runs across the lateral and medial sides. The ankles have plenty of cushioning and support, and the 1090 logo is embroidered on the tongues. The heel tabs have an ASICS logo on the left sneaker and an Ape Head logo on the right, highlighting the collaborative aspect of the release once more.
If the BAPE x ASICS GEL-1090 “France Camo” appeals to you, keep an eye out for a European release, since the pair has already been launched in Japan and will most likely be distributed internationally shortly.
