The "3D Slate Blue" Yeezy Basketball Knit Is Unveiled
Kanye West continues to wow us. The American multi-hyphenate is always attempting to outdo himself with his sneakers, from the 750 to the 450. Now, as we approach the end of the year, it appears like he'll be releasing his most ambitious pair yet, the Yeezy Basketball Knit "3D Slate Blue" - and here's what we know so far.
Elements of the BSKTBL were initially revealed at the start of the year by sneaker insiders Yeezy Mafia, but no one knew what shoe they were for. The shoe has a flexible ankle collar that is dipped in black, taking inspiration from many styles like the 350 V2 and the QNTM. The remainder of the upper is made of dark blue Primeknit with white accents.
A shoe with this form and construction isn't exactly new. Alexander Wang initially experimented with this style of footwear in 2018 and 2019, with the Alexander Wang x adidas AW Run. More indie companies, like as Represent, have released similar pairs.
A 3M reflective heel counter in a silver tone completes the highly contrasted design. Underfoot, you'll find an adidas Boost midsole that's taken directly from the aforementioned Quantum, and finishing off this Yeezy is an adidas Boost midsole that's taken straight from the aforementioned Quantum.
The Adidas YZY BSKTBL KNIT "3D Slate Blue" is set to release in December, according to the Yeezy Mafia, and will be available in complete family sizes.
