Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Travis Scott
-
Materials:
Nike obviously intended to give this
collaboration shoe the "luxury" treatment. The leather and suede are
among the best we've seen on a Jordan 1. In addition to high-quality materials,
details like the hidden stash pocket and discreet "Catcus Jack"
branding set this shoe apart from past AJ1 models.
- Construction:
With so many intricate intricacies
on this shoe, it is assumed that there will be a lot of sub-par construction
aspects, but that simply was not the case. There were no obvious faults, such
as glue stains around the midsole, and the stitching was entirely pristine.
- Fit & Comfort:
When it comes to sizing, most people
can wear Jordan 1s true to size, while those who want a snug fit can go down
half a size.
Because this is a 1985 shoe, the
comfort of this sneaker won't be anything to write home about. It's not the
comfiest shoe on the market, but it's also not the worst.
Overall, the cushioning and
flexibility of these shoes are modest.
On the plus side, if traction is
crucial to you, these shoes have the best traction of any shoe, new or old.
- Style & Value:
This sneaker is divisive yet
intriguing, with its oversized reversed swoosh, several lacing possibilities,
and brown-ish, earthy appearance. Step out in a pair of these and you will
undoubtedly turn heads.
Putting together ensembles with the
sneaker will be simple as well. A simple jeans and solid t-shirt outfit work
well, while the sneakers speak for themselves.
When it comes to value, the shoe is
more expensive than standard GR Air Jordan 1 releases, but this is justified in
this case. With resell prices in the quadruple digits in most sizes, snagging
these pairs for retail is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
