The New Balance 574 "History Class" Is A Throwback To The 1980s

New Balance may appear to be extremely busy working on collaborations with high-profile designers—most notably on the 99x linage—but that doesn't mean they've forgotten about their other designs, such as the classic 574 that captivated the sneaker world in the 1980s. The New Balance 574 "History Class" trio is one example of this, as it will be released in three vintage colorways that are inspired by the model's initial outfits upon its debut.

The assemblage is led by the New Balance 574 "History Class Grey," which is a clear reference to the brand's iconic greyscale colorway. Steel blue accents other sections of this suede and mesh-crafted New Balance 574, softly balancing the color balance.

The "Navy" pair is built similarly, with soft suede overlays and breathable mesh underlays. The same configuration is also used in the "White" version, however the color palette is obviously significantly different. Traditional NB logo elements can be seen on the tongue, insoles, and heel of each model, while ENCAP midsole tooling completes the look in true NB574 form.
