Adidas’ Jeremy Scott Forum Sneakers And Teddy Bear Slides Are On Their Way
Since announcing the renewal of his association with Adidas, Jeremy Scott has kept sneakerheads waiting. Despite a steady stream of new designs, such as jelly Forum shoes and teddy bear slides, there has been no hint on how or when the models will be available until now.
Following the release of Scott and Adidas' money-print Wings sneaker, the team are launching the DIP collection with a campaign that is as colorful as the collection's components. The capsule includes the aforementioned jelly Forums and stuffed animal slides, as well as equally vibrant velour outfits, all inspired by the bold aesthetics of the 2000s – with Scott, it's go big or go home.
As a result, the designer's Forum High and Forum Low sneakers have been coated with a jelly-like substance, giving them a glazed appearance similar to smooth hard candies. The "Candy" Forums are a surreal spin on one of Adidas' classic styles, with vivid colors like yellow, orange, blue, and pink.
Each sneaker has the Forum's signature ankle strap, but the typical Adidas branding on the tongue has been replaced with a graphic of Scott's face, just in case there was any doubt about who designed the unique footwear. The two sneakers are finished off with neon laces and translucent sole sections.
Women's velour track trousers, crop tops, and shorts are available in the same highlighter colours as Scott's fluorescent sneakers. In brilliant blue, a men's hoodie and pair of track pants are available, perfect for wearing with the Forums or teddy bear slides that complete the DIP ensemble. There should be no shortage of weird silhouettes to select from, with brown and orange variations of the stuffed animal slippers available — unless, of course, Scott's shoes sell out just as quickly as they did during his initial ‘00s time with Adidas.
Scott's DIP line will be available on Adidas' website, Confirmed app, and select retailers on October 2 in "limited quantities," according to the footwear maker. While no official pricing for the new sneakers or velour tracksuits has been released, reports say the bright Forums will cost $160 — a bargain considering their rarity and the fact that Scott's last Adidas collaboration is reselling for up to $3,500.
