Review: New Balance 327 Casablanca

These are packaged in a unique white box with green logo and writing that reads "Casablanca Tennis Club" and "Idealiste 327." Flat white laces with gold aglets are included with the shoes. Much of the upper features Casablanca's monogram print, as previously indicated. The Casablanca logo is also featured on the tongue, along with some leaf/vine design.

Materials

These aren't labeled as part of the Made brand, but they are a collaboration. The upper's white perforated leather is thin but supple, and it appears to have a high-quality polish. The N logo on the side also appears to be of good quality, with some natural grain. The suede is quite comfortable to the touch, even though it is just utilized on the eyelets. Finally, the cloth appears to have been well-made with acceptable QC and is soft and slightly gleaming. While part of the material is thin, these have a high-quality look and feel to them; they don't appear to be inexpensive. So, while they may not be as buttery as anything from the Made lines, the quality is still worth the retail price.

Fitting

At half the size of my Nike size, these New Balance 327 Casablancas are really comfortable. This is my genuine NB size, in my opinion. In Nikes, I usually wear a size 10, but in NBs like these, I wear a size 9.5. The comfort is really basic on these, with only a sturdy midsole underneath. It's not that they're uncomfortable. It's just not as impressive or technologically advanced as current models from other brands. To be fair, it is said to be based on vintage models with a contemporary twist.

I made the mistake of sleeping on the earlier Casablanca collabs on this model, and I'm not going to do it again. I like these so much that I'm considering getting the 237s from the pack!

Bootleg Bapestas Are Back From Bape And Reebok

Isn't there such a thing as too much of a good thing? The two are back in action with a new set of collaborative Reebok designs, picking up where last year's collaboration left off. They are two well-worn BAPE models, so there's not much new ground being broken here, but these are among of the cleanest colours the pair has done to date. It Doesn't Get Any Sweeter Than This For The Nike Dunk High "Chocolate"

Since its comeback in the shoe business, the Nike Dunk has had a plethora of colorways. Sneakerheads all over the world have enjoyed a variety of colorways with themed features over the last two years, some in commemorative designs and others that are just plain simple and lovely. And while we're on the subject of sweets, the Nike Dunk High "Chocolate" just dropped, and a closer look at the shoe reveals that it can't be any sweeter than it already is! The iteration has a high-top profile, which gives the heels and ankles more support. Unlike its "Light Chocolate Sail" counterpart from last year, which had milky hues, this premium leather rendition has darker brown tones. The shoelaces, Nike Swoosh emblems on the lateral and medial sides, and the full-length midsole underfoot, all of which are in a pure white gradient, are the only pieces that add a flash of contrast to this delicious configuration.
