The 1996 Air Jordan 11 Low IE "Bred" Is Returning Soon
This year has seen plenty of retro-inspired releases from the Swoosh team and Jordan Brand, but classics seldom return in their original form. The Air Jordan 1 High 85 "Neutral Grey" was one of the pairs that made a big comeback this year after being in the archives since 1985, and this time, die-hard Jordan fans will be happy to learn that the Air Jordan 11 Low IE "Bred" from 1996 will be re-released very soon in its original setup.
Despite the fact that the Jordan XI is not on the radar of today's sneakerheads, Jordan Brand continues to release a few pairs at a time. In 1995, a low-top patent leather-paneled version of the silhouette was released, and in 1996, a high-top patent leather-paneled version was released.
The International Exclusive AJ11s comes with leather and mesh toolings instead of the typical patent leather trimmings, for those who aren't aware of the difference between the IE and normal versions. The base is a combination of black and red, with a cushioning Jordan 11 midsole below and a semi-translucent rubber outsole on top.
