B30 By Dior Is A New Balance For Rich Sneakerheads
Dior's new B30 shoe, which debuted as part of the luxury house's Resort 22 collection, is one of its sportiest to date, with vintage running characteristics. At first sight, the sneaker appears to be similar to a wealthy person's New Balance sneaker.
The mesh foundation of the Dior B30 is accented with leather paneling on the foxing, heel, and toe box. On the quarter panel is a performance-inspired reworking of Dior's "CD" emblem. The initials may also be found on the sneaker's sole and heel.
This isn't a novel strategy. In the past, luxury companies have taken a lot of inspiration from athletic firms. Louis Vuitton has created sneakers that resemble the Nike Air Jordan 3 and Salomon trail-running footwear under the direction of Virgil Abloh. Gucci's running-inspired sneakers may very well be a collaboration with ASICS.
The Dior B30 is available for pre-order today in five colorways: black, white, olive, beige, and lime.
