Heat Up The New York With The J.Crew X New Balance 992 "NY"

You can't go wrong with a pair from the 990x series when it comes to New Balance styles. The 992 in its original greyscale hue, for example, is pretty much universally regarded as a banger — sprinkle in some creative collab spirit, and it's difficult not to generate heat.

While the whole NB family has received a lot of love in 2021, the 990x collaboration catalog has been especially strong. Joe Freshgoods, Levi's, Run the Boroughs, Stray Rats, and JJJJound are just a few of the brands that have been announced so far, and more are on the way. You can't go wrong with that lineup.

Thanks to J.Crew, the most recent addition to the ever-expanding repertoire is a salute to New York. The store has been host to a number of special colors for the 2002R and 997H in recent months. Those looks were nice, but they lacked the spice that sets a collaboration distinct from other releases.

That's exactly what the 992 "NY" brings to the table. The sneaker, which has a combination of blue and deep orange mesh and suede (inspired by the New York state flag), would easily fit with the New York Giants PE.
