Is The Nike SB Dunk High "Strawberry Cough" Coming Out Soon?
The Nike SB Dunk High "Strawberry Cough" was originally scheduled to debut in 2020 to commemorate 4/20, however it was later postponed until further notice due to criticism surrounding the pair referencing the coronavirus epidemic. After what feels like an eternity of waiting, it appears that we may be one step closer to seeing this high-heat pair release, with rumors circulating that shipments of the pair have arrived at US skate stores.
The official photos were posted to Nike's global website in July and soon went viral, showing off the marijuana-themed pair in all its glory. Nike is no stranger to devil's lettuce-inspired sneakers, with many sneakerheads looking forward to each year's 4/20 release. If you've been hoping to get your hands on a pair of these Dunks, this could be your best chance for the time being!
The "Strawberry Cough" pair is made of leather and fuzzy suede for a quality feel throughout and comes in a nice two-tone colorway with touches of red and green. On the lateral and medial sides, Nike's Swoosh emblem is embroidered, as is a coughing strawberry figure closer to the heel. The design is finished off with plenty of cushioning and graphic insoles, making them a must-have for Dunk collectors!
All of this comes atop a translucent ice-blue midsole that shows red and green below, and a full-length Nike Air unit ensures that these are more than comfy whether you're skating or not. While we're getting closer to a release date, we're still waiting for more information on the Nike SB Dunk High "Strawberry Cough," so stay tuned right here for the latest.
