The Frightening Halloween Sneakers From Reebok Are Dubbed The 'Ghostbusters'

Thanks to Reebok, there's something odd going on in the neighborhood. Ahead of the upcoming Ghostbusters: Afterlife film and Halloween, the brand has planned its second partnership with the Ghostbusters. The comprehensive collection, which consists of five distinct sneakers, is inspired by the franchise's most renowned ghouls and ghosts, transforming their colors and designs into equally terrifying shoes.

While the first Ghostbusters collaboration turned the series' iconic objects into shoes, notably the fugly Ghostsmasher high top, the second collaboration focused more on the characters. It has a similar eerie look, but it's a little more wearable.

Four adult Reebok sneakers and one children's version of the company's Zig Kinetica model are included in the ghastly collection. With a cracker leather upper, red eyelets, and green slobbery graphics, the capsule's Instapump Fury pays homage to Slimer in vivid pink and green shades, while an Answer IV model embodies the Keymaster and Gatekeeper dogs with a cracker leather upper, red eyelets, and green slobbery graphics, taking cues from older versions of Ghostbusters. The sneakers are truly designed for true lovers of the game.

The finest element of the Ghostbusters collaboration, however, will only fit on the smallest of feet. Muncher — the next film's luminous creature comparable to Slimer — is referenced in the kid's version of Reebok's Zig Kinetica sneaker, which features a pattern that lights in the dark.

Reebok's ghostly offerings may not wow everyday sneakerheads, but aficionados of the Ghostbusters series should keep an eye out for these limited edition shoes. Each model will be on sale on Reebok's website on October 15th, with retail pricing starting at $85 - make sure to purchase in time for Halloween delivery.

Since its comeback in the shoe business, the Nike Dunk has had a plethora of colorways. Sneakerheads all over the world have enjoyed a variety of colorways with themed features over the last two years, some in commemorative designs and others that are just plain simple and lovely. And while we're on the subject of sweets, the Nike Dunk High "Chocolate" just dropped, and a closer look at the shoe reveals that it can't be any sweeter than it already is! The iteration has a high-top profile, which gives the heels and ankles more support.
