A 'University Red' Colorway Of The Converse Weapon CX Mid Is Released

On December 14, 2021, the Converse Weapon CS Mid 'University Red' will be released in a red colorway. On December 7, 2021, the sneaker acquired a 'Kinetic Blue' version, and now it comes in a red colorway. The model has a long and illustrious history, and it is a well-known model among basketball fans.

Converse is bringing back a classic in 2021. The Weapon CX was a popular sneaker in the 1980s, particularly on the basketball court. For example, before Michael Jordan altered the world of basketball shoes with his own sneaker, basketball legends Magic Johnson and Larry Bird wore this style on the court.

The style was introduced in 1986, and by the end of the decade, nearly every NBA player had worn it. The upper of the Weapon CX was made of leather and had a retro flair to it. Converse began with the canvas Chuck Taylor, but the Weapon CX was a significant step forward. The leather material and bulky style made it an ideal basketball shoe, and it quickly became popular.

During a game between Magic and Larry, an iconic moment in their history occurred. The Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics were rivals who played for teams that couldn't stand each other. Both wore the Weapon CX during the 1986 game, which brought a lot of attention to the model.

Since its comeback in the shoe business, the Nike Dunk has had a plethora of colorways. Sneakerheads all over the world have enjoyed a variety of colorways with themed features over the last two years, some in commemorative designs and others that are just plain simple and lovely. And while we're on the subject of sweets, the Nike Dunk High "Chocolate" just dropped, and a closer look at the shoe reveals that it can't be any sweeter than it already is! The iteration has a high-top profile, which gives the heels and ankles more support. Unlike its "Light Chocolate Sail" counterpart from last year, which had milky hues, this premium leather rendition has darker brown tones.
