Is It Possible For Daniel Arsham To Simply Release The Nike Dunk Low "Quartz Crystal"?

While bespoke sneakers are a touchy subject, the late Virgil Abloh was always a proponent of innovating and putting your own stamp on things. His "Dear Summer" Collection from earlier this year was a nod to this, with many of his designs being shown on both the Off-White Instagram page and his personal profile. As customs improve, big players in the game are starting to notice artists like Andrew Chiou, the latest of whom is Daniel Arsham, who shared his Nike Dunk Low "Quartz Crystal" custom right on his social media.

The "Quartz Crystal" is an homage to Arsham's life-size Mickey Mouse plush, and it comes in a subdued grey and purple palette akin to Arsham's classic graphic style. Quartz crystals can be found throughout the Dunk's upper, which is made of leather and features the American artist's unique typographic style and artistic method.

The Nike Swooshes on the lateral and medial side panels are dipped in a forest green for a burst of subtle contrast, and the style is completed with sandy beige flat laces.

The Daniel Arsham x Nike Dunk Low "Quartz Crystal" is a one-of-a-kind collaboration that will never be released to the public, though the modern artist did re-post the images to his Instagram page with the caption "@andu.c journeys in the Ether of my minds eye."
