Take Your Closer Look At The Air Jordan 1 High '85 "Georgetown"

When it comes to iconic colorways, the "Georgetown" is right up there. The classic color palette has adorned some of the Beaverton brand's finest designs, from the Air More Uptempo to the Dunk Low, and for 2022, it'll be taking on the most famous of them all with the Air Jordan 1 High '85 "Georgetown" - and we're now taking a closer look.

If you believe you've seen this Air Jordan 1 before, you're probably thinking about the original "Georgetown Hoyas" sample, which initially leaked in 1985. With the same color palette, it appears that Jordan Brand has also embraced the OG form.

The light grey foundation contrasts well against the dark blue panels that wrap around the toebox and heel of this all-leather shoe. Creamy colours make their way to the laces and tongue for a retro touch, and the ankle is proudly embossed with the AJ1's distinctive winged basketball emblem.

While we would have preferred an off-white Nike Air midsole for a more nostalgic aesthetic, we can't really complain. After all, we never imagined this sample would see the light of day.

The Nike Air Jordan 1 Hi '85 "College Navy" will be released in February 2022 and is expected to sell out quickly.
