The Adidas MFX Reboot Low Is A Unique Take On The Classic Campus
adidas has created some of the most famous footwear styles of all time during the previous 72 years. While adidas Originals honors its legacy, the German sportswear institution has never been afraid to experiment with some of its most cherished designs. Take, for example, the adidas MFX Reboot Low.
At first sight, the low-top model looks like a slew of suede and rubber offerings from Herzogenaurach, Germany. However, closer scrutiny (and product pages) reveals that the experimental offering is based on the D.N.A. of the adidas Campus, a legendary 1980s shoe. Given East Asia's preoccupation with silhouettes, it's no wonder that the MFX Reboot Low has already made its debut in a few Far Eastern countries.
Furthermore, the sneaker's mismatched, layered, and "unrefined" design will undoubtedly appeal to the legions of fashion-conscious customers who have flocked to sacai, COMME des GARONS, and Yohji Yamamoto. Although the dress shoe-like variant lacks BOOST cushioning, an additional slab of foam protrudes from the heel. Pull tabs on the tongue and a serrated outsole give not just functionality but also a stylish upgrade to one of the most iconic sneaker designs of all time.
Enjoy official photographs of the silhouette's two debut colorways below, and stay tuned for a release on adidas.com in the United States.
