The Adidas Y-3 Orisan In Cream Gets Its First Look
Yohji Yamamoto's adidas Y-3 imprint has been giving his touch on footwear for almost two decades. While he hasn't received the same level of global exposure as other of the Three Stripes' colleagues, the Japanese designer has consistently pushed the boundaries of what sportswear-inspired shoes may be. The Osiran silhouette, which debuted in a cream-like shade lately, maintains the trend. At first glance, the silhouette looks similar to some of Tyler "Ninja" Blevins' adidas ZX-propositions, but closer investigation shows something totally Yamamoto's.
The upper's combination of knit material, suede, and mesh creates a functional and aesthetically pleasing arrangement. The pair's craftsmanship shines through thanks to the light grey color palette that covers each of the aforementioned materials, with much of the heel area bringing not-so-common design elements. The sole unit, though, is undoubtedly the most eye-catching feature of the adidas-backed sneaker, as it features tried-and-true Boost foam in a new "chiseled" design. Finally, tread chooses a light gum brown that is semi-translucent.
Enjoy official photographs of the sneakers below, and stay tuned for the introduction of the adidas CONFIRMED app in the coming months.
